THE COURSE OF PREGNANCY AND CHILDBIRTH IN WOMEN WITH A UTERINE SCAR

The purpose of the research was the study of the course of pregnancy and childbirth in 1776 (11.0%) women with a uterine scar after cesarean section. The authors have analyzed the histories of childbirth in women with uterine scars. The group of interest consisted mainly of multipara (92.2%) 26-30 years old women (31.3%) from rural areas (53.7%). The course of pregnancy in the group was characterized by a high rate of complications (80.3%). In 92.3% of cases, the childbirth ended with repeated operations of cesarean section, including 90.2% of planned interventions and 9.7% of urgent interventions. Only 137 (7.7%) women with one uterine scar had natural deliveries. The postnatal period in 18 (0.1%) women was complicated by endometritis and subinvolution of the uterus.
