PREVALENCE AND INTENSITY OF AUTONOMIC DYSFUNCTION AMONG YOUNG ATHLETES

High physical activity and lifestyle factors lead to dysfunction of the autonomic nervous system in athletes. The author examines the prevalence and severity of autonomic dysfunction in young professional sportsmen with the use of different diagnostic methods. It is shown that vegetative disorders among athletes are widespread. This is due to insufficient sensitivity of the traditional diagnostic methods. It should be noted that the modern technology assessment of heart rate variability (hardware-software complex "Omega-Sport") possesses the most sensitive detection of autonomic dysfunction.
