COGNITIVE IMPAIRMENT IN PATIENTS WITH IDIOPATHIC BASAL GANGLIA CALCIFICATION SYMMETRIC

Cognitive impairment - subjectively and/or objectively detectable deterioration of cognitive functions (such as speech, memory, gnosis, praxis, thinking, etc.) Compared with the initial individual or mean age and education levels as a result of structural, metabolic, toxic brain injury, affect the effectiveness of education and training, home, social activity. The study of etiology and pathogenesis, improving diagnosis and treatment of disorders of higher brain functions is an urgent problem of neurology. The article provides an overview of the literature data of occurrence of cognitive dysfunction of varying severity in patients with idiopathic basal ganglia calcification symmetrical, their morpho-functional substantiation with the disease.
