Background: More and more often, the first specialists who become the primary link when patients seek medical help are not general practitioners, neurologists, cardiologists and others, but doctors of aesthetic medicine &ndash; cosmetologists, dermatovenerologists, plastic surgeons. The aim of the study: To study the features of geriatric status guiding gerontological prevention of patients of different ages in clinics of aesthetic medicine. Materials and methods: In order to form an idea about the somatic and geriatric status of patients, we evaluated the following parameters: the presence of dinapenia, eating disorders, the presence of anxiety and the development of depressive syndrome. We studied 164 middle-aged patients (average age 49.4&plusmn;2.1 years) and 164 elderly patients (average age 68.2&plusmn;2.8 years) from cosmetologists. We also studied 104 middle-aged patients (average age 46.3&plusmn;1.9 years) and 104 elderly patients (average age 66.9&plusmn;2.0 years) from plastic surgeons. Results: We found that loss of appetite in elderly patients had a statistically significant strong positive correlation with dissatisfaction with the shape of individual body parts (r= + 0.80, p&lt;0.05), and poor mobility in elderly patients had a statistically significant strong positive correlation with edema (r=+0.78, p&lt;0.05). In middle-aged patients, on average, there was a normal nutritional status, while in elderly patients, on average, we detected the phenomenon of malnutrition. In elderly patients, depressive syndrome had a statistically significant strong positive correlation with dissatisfaction with the shape of individual parts of the face (r=0.92; p&lt;0.05) and with premature aging in the form of wrinkles, skin fading and other external signs (r=0.90; p&lt;0.05). Conclusion: In elderly patients, there was a significant pattern of decreased motivation to eat, which was accompanied by a low assessment of their own health status and insufficient nutritional status. There is a high prevalence of depressive syndrome among elderly patients receiving medical care provided by cosmetologists and plastic surgeons, and with an aggravation of the degree in comparison with middle-aged patients.
