The authors have identified some changing trends in the incidence of MN of individual locations observed over the last decades both in Russia and almost in all countries of the world. The study reveals the most important and perspective directions of development of oncological science and practice to reduce the Russia&amp;#39;s population mortality from malignant neoplasms and improve the quality of life of cancer patients.</p>
<trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>The review analyses and compares the main materials of the International Agency for Research on Cancer (cancer on 5 continents) and statistic indicators characterizing the state of cancer incidence in the Russian Federation, that showed a steady increase of the incidence of malignant neoplasms (MN) both in male and female population of Russia.
