INTEREST OF DOCTORS AND PATIENTS WITH CHRONIC HEART FAILURE IN ACTIVE OUTPATIENT OBSERVATION AND TRAINING
Relevance. Chronic heart failure (CHF) is currently an urgent medical and social problem related to the priorities of national health systems in a large number of countries.
Purpose of the study. To study the degree of patients’ interest in information on CHF disease, to evaluate patients' adherence to therapy, and to investigate the attitude of district therapists to conducting preventive interviews with patients and health schools
Materials and methods. A questionnaire was conducted for 100 patients diagnosed with CHF who were on an outpatient visit with a district physician of the therapist on the basis of "City Hospital No. 2", in Polyclinic No. 7 in Belgorod.
Results. Outpatient monitoring of patients with CHF and their therapeutic training contribute to increasing adherence of patients to treatment and improving the prognosis of the course of the underlying disease. This determines the importance of outpatient monitoring of patients with CHF as an effective and cost-effective mechanism for improving the quality of care. Patients are interested in informing about their disease, lifestyle and rehabilitation activities, both in the outpatient department and from additional sources. All district therapists conduct preventive interviews with patients, but due to lack of time, not often and regularly enough.
