This trend is essential to study palliative care, which is a special area of social and health care. The goal of palliative care is ensuring a decent level of quality of life in incurable patients and their families. In the process of organization of palliative care it is important to bear in mind that the quality of life depends not only on patient’s physical condition, but is determined by the severity of the psychological and spiritual problems. In this regard, particular attention in the organization of palliative care should be given to training medical professionals for working with incurable patients. In this regard, particular emphasis should be given to the competence of medical professionals in the matters of spirituality and existential problems.
